The answer should be 50. You can easily divide 12 1/2 by 1/4 to get an answer as 50. 5 would be your answer.

9966 [12]

Answer:

30 days(To the nearest tenth of a day)

Step-by-step explanation:

In this question, we are asked to give the number of days that a baby whale had grew to a size given the rate at which it grows per day.

We have been told that after the first day, it started growing to a point of 47.075 inch at a rate of 1.5 inch a day.

The number of days taken for this growth can be calculated by dividing the present size by the daily growth rate.

Mathematically, that is 47.075/15 = 31.38333

Now, we are told to convert this to the nearest tenth of a day. The value here should thus be 30.

The lines are parallel. Find the slope-intercept form of the equation y₂.
Bas_tet [7]
Since the lines are parallel and you know the slope of y_{1} is -2, you know the slope of line y_{2} will also be -2. You can see on the coordinate grid that line y_{2} crosses the y-axis at -1. When you piece all of these facts together into slope-intercept form you get y_{2} = -2x - 1.

Pls i need help with #5 it’s so hard and I’m struggling with it and what’s the answer
Svetradugi [14.3K]

Answer:

7.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Lets define what we're looking for, the "number", to be equal to x.

number = x

Following the questions hints:

" The sum of twice a number and three times a number"

(2x) + (3x)

is (which means equals to basically)

" triple the quantity of five more than a number"

3(x+5)

We connect all of this to find the number and get:

(2x) + (3x) = 3(x+5)

5x = 3x + 15

5x -3x = 15

2x = 15

x = 15/2

x = 7.5
