Some of the slaves had an acceptable (not good: acceptable) life in America, so i would say that on a smaller scale, the being on the ship was even more inhumane: they were in chains the whole journey and many, many died on the ships.
Because of the light emitting diode, society has found a far better way for a safer, high quality and energy efficient method of lighting compared to what we used in the past.
Here is the reasons:
- Light derived from candles tend to have higher probability to cause a fire in the house, which make them a really dangerous method for lightning.
- LED only use around 8 watts for every Watts that halogen light bulbs use, so it's very energy efficient,
- LED typically last linger than halogen bulbs (around 20-25 times longer)
