There is only one property used to determine whether

4r+4t=4(r+t).

The property is called the distributive property and in a nutshell it states, a(b+c)=ab+ac, which means a is distributed through b+c using multiplication. So 4(r+t) says, distribute 4 to r and t which then translates into 4r+4t.

Which of the box plots A,B Or C show a sample that has
Paul [167]
The answer is C
This is a box plot diagram also know as a box and whisker plot as you probably see where it gets its name from, to find which diagram is correct you need to look for the following things. First we need to see if the median which in this case is 12 is in on the correct place which in C it is nicely lines up to 12 in the center of the diagram. The median for a the line in the line in the middle of the box plot.
Now we need to have a look at our lower quartile and see that it does start at 6 and the upper quartile does end at 16 these are the lines that make the rectangle shape in the centre lucky for us in C they do. Then we need to see if the lines that run horizontally through the box ( may also be called the whiskers) start at the minimum 3 and end at the maximum of 22 which they do so in the end gives C is true only diagram with all of these in.
Hope this helps !

How does the graph of f(x) = (x - 1)2 relate to the basic function f(x) = x??
harina [27]

Answer:

Shift 1 unit to the right, i.,e. option (c).

Step-by-step explanation:

Note: Both functions can not be represented by f(x) and square is missing in basic function.

The given basic function is

f(x)=x^2

The given function is

g(x)=(x-1)^2

So, the given function can be written in the form of basic form as

g(x)=f(x-1)     ...(1)

The translation is defined as

g(x)=f(x+a)2+b     .... (2)

If a>0, then the graph shifts a units left and if a<0, then the graph shifts a units right.

If b>0, then the graph shifts b units up and if b<0, then the graph shifts b units down.

On comparing (1) and (2), we get

a=-1,b=0

Therefore, graph of f(x) shift 1 unit to the right to get graph of g(x).

adding 9 would make the mean 4 (24/6)

therefore the mean would increase by 1
