The British kept their soldiers in the colonies and ordered them house the soldiers too. the colonists had no say in this matter, which is why it was listed as a grievance in the D.O.I
Imperialism is when a mother country takes over a smaller nation or colony for political, social, and/or economic reasons. Imperialism has been a major force in shaping the modern world. The effects of Imperialism have been interpreted from a variety of viewpoints. This major imperialism occurred during the late 19th Century and early 20th century. It had more negative effects in the modern world today then positive effects.
Fighting off communist influence in Asia. They tried to stop communism in Korea, Vietnam, China, and more places. For the most part, they failed.
If a nation is very small they could only accept a certain amount of people. They are small so they only have so much food, space, etc. to provide for its citizens. Though if the nation was large such as the US or Canada they can be a little less strict and allow more people in.
