Feelings? Smoking is an old, frankly disgusting habit. However, it is an addictive habit, and it can create a ball & chain very quickly. The lungs aren't meant to have smoke constantly filling them, and the more a person smokes, the more chances they have of developing a deadly disease such as cancer or heart disease.
