ighty-year-old Mirabel regrets that there is no time left to compensate for her mistakes in life. Overwhelmed by bitterness and
anyanavicka [17]

Answer:

despair

Explanation:

Eighty-year-old Mirabel regrets that there is no time left to compensate for her mistakes in life. Overwhelmed by bitterness and defeat, Mirabel expresses anger and contempt toward her family members and caregivers. According to Erikson, Mirabel is likely experiencing despair.

Mirabel's behaviour can be accounted for by the 8th and last stage of Erik Erikson's psychosocial development theory. This stage is called the integrity versus despair stage and individuals above the age of 60 are in this stage. Erikson posits that as individuals grow older they carry out self evaluation of their lives and those that feel accomplished have a sense of integrity and do not have regrets while those who feel their life have been wasted experience a feeling of despair, regrets, and depression.

How did the end of world war 2 set the stage for cold war?
evablogger [386]

The Second World War is usually considered to have begun with the German invasion of Poland on 3 September 1939 though one can trace the sequence of events back to the German invasion of Czechoslovakia on 15 March 1939 and the British and French pledge to support Poland on 29 March. The war spread to the Pacific with the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour on 7 December 1941.

The war in Europe ended on 8 May 1945 (VE Day) when the Germans signed the official surrender that had been offered the previous day. The war in the Pacific ended with the decision on 14 August 1945 and the announcement by the Emperor of Japan in a broadcast to his people on 15 August 1945 (VP day) that Japan would accept the Allies ultimatum to surrender. The formal surrender to General Douglas MacArthur in Tokyo Bay followed on 2 September (VJ Day). I hope this is the right answer, if it's not i'm sorry

? How does limited government help to fulfill the purposes of democracy?
Whitepunk [10]

Republics are necessary for limited governance. Given that individuals frequently don't use the voting booth for governmental tasks, democracy truly doesn't work well with a limited government.

They sell their votes to politicians who will pay the greatest price for them, and they exploit the government to get an endless supply of free things.

A democracy will start to ignore the rule of law when systematic thievery becomes the norm because it must in order to exist, no matter how severe the corruption. When the next check comes is all that matters.

Thank you,

Eddie

Do you think the federalists or the anti federalists had the more valid arguments
Romashka-Z-Leto [24]
Federalists favored a stronger, united federal government and the ratification of the Constitution opposed to the Anti-Federalists who wished for the state and local governments to remain in power. Federalists believed that giving more power to the federal government guranteed all citizens liberties. Anti-Federalists believed giving too much power to the federal government would create too much distance from citizens and leave justice unserved. It really depends on your opinion.
