Answer:

The Earth is tilted at an angle of about 23 degrees, which means that depending on where Earth is on its orbit, one pole will be getting more hours of light (summer) and one will be dark (winter).

Explanation:

Also, the earth is tilted on it's axis so more direct rays of sunlight hit the southern hemisphere making it summer in that hemisphere while it is winter in the northern hemisphere.  Six months later, this reverses, and more direct rays hit the northern hemisphere.  That's why it's summer here while it's winter there.

The earth's distance from the sun has nothing to do with it.  It's all about the axial tilt.

Hope this helps!!

Pythons are affecting everglades very negatively they are causing chaos in the food pyramid attacking all levels and not having predators prey on them pythons have become a huge problem that must be dealt with quickly because their affects are being felt quickly and very largely.

What are the functions of pharynx
bekas [8.4K]
There are basically 3 types of pharynx- nasopharynx, oropharynx and laryngopharynx.
The function of the pharynx are:-
1. To transport the food from mouth to esophagus.
2. To warm, moisten and filter the air, before it moves to the trachea, and then to the bronchi, the bronchioles, the alveoli and at last to the lungs.
Therefore, pharynx(or throat) is a part of both- digestive and respiratory systems.
3. It is also important for vocalization.
