Answer:

The Earth is tilted at an angle of about 23 degrees, which means that depending on where Earth is on its orbit, one pole will be getting more hours of light (summer) and one will be dark (winter).

Explanation:

Also, the earth is tilted on it's axis so more direct rays of sunlight hit the southern hemisphere making it summer in that hemisphere while it is winter in the northern hemisphere.  Six months later, this reverses, and more direct rays hit the northern hemisphere.  That's why it's summer here while it's winter there.

The earth's distance from the sun has nothing to do with it.  It's all about the axial tilt.

Hope this helps!!

Different types of cells within an organism ______.
Natasha2012 [34]
The answer is C, serve a different function.

In multicellular organisms, same types of cells makes up a tissue, and tissue makes up organs, then eventually organs work together as an organ system.

For example in humans, stomach cells makes up the stomach tissues, and stomach tissues makes up the stomach. stomach can help digest food and mix food molecules together. But in opposition, red blood cells is present in the blood tissue, however, their function is not to digest food, but is to transport oxygen.

Therefore, we can see that different cells serve a different function.

What does nucleus mean
dedylja [7]
It depends if you're talking about Physical Science or Physics/Biology -- so, I'll give both definitions (: Physical Science: the positively charged central core of an atom, consisting of protons and neutrons and containing nearly all its mass. Physics/Biology: a dense organelle present in most eukaryotic cells, typically a single rounded structure bounded by a double membrane, containing the genetic material. Hope that helped! (:
