Who are macbeth's second and third victims? what reason does he give for killing them? why does lady macbeth faint? explain your
pogonyaev
1. Macbeth's second and third victims are the two guards who were standing in front of Duncan's bedroom door. His plan was to kill Duncan in his sleep, but the guards were preventing him from doing that. This is why he killed the two guards with the help of his wife. The reason why he did that was so that he could have someone to blame for the death of the king - he would say that he caught them killing the king, which is why he had to have them murdered as well.

2. Lady Macbeth fainted to distract everyone's attention to her. She knew that Macbeth was weak, and that if questioned, he would admit to everything - to killing Banquo, Duncan's guards, and Duncan himself. This is why she decided to take matters into her own hands and therefore she pretended to faint. Thus everyone gathered around her to help her, and Macbeth 'fortunately' didn't get the chance to reveal their crime to everyone.

The ""We"" adds to the development of the author’s message mainly by The gathering place
Arada [10]

The "We" adds to the development of the <em>author’s message</em> to show that <u>everyone has a role to play.</u>

Your question is incomplete as you didn't provide the author's message. An overview of the answer will be provided.

An <em>author's message </em>simply means the big idea that's in a text. It is what the author wants the readers to know. It is sometimes the lesson that the author wants others to know.

In this case, since the emphasis is on "we", it means that the author wants everyone to do that particular thing that's addressed in the story. For example, if the message is about love, the author can write that we should <em>love</em> each other.

How does Liz react to kid asking Annie to dance the guilty party
katrin2010 [14]

In O. Henry's "The Guilty Party," this is how Liz reacts to Kid asking Annie to the dance:

D. She is irritated and vengeful.

Liz is the main character in the short story "The Guilty Party," by O. Henry. He fiance, Kid, decides to take a bet and invite another girl, Annie, to the dance with him.

According to Kid, Liz has been acting jealously lately, and he is doing that to prove a point to her.

Once Liz hears about the dance and who Kid is going to take, this is what she says:

<em>"It’s got to me that he says he’ll take Annie Karlson to the dance. Let him. </em><u><em>The pink-eyed white rat!</em></u><em> I’m lookin’ for ‘m. You know me, Tommy. Two years me and the Kid’s been engaged. Look at that ring. Five hundred, he said it cost. Let him take her to the dance. What’ll I do? </em><u><em>I’ll cut his heart out</em></u><em>."</em>

<em />

As we can see, Liz is angry. She is so mad at Kid that she says she will hurt him, "<u>cut his heart out.</u>" She wants revenge for what he is doing to her.

With that in mind, we can select letter D as the correct choice. Liz is irritated and vengeful.
