Answer:

The answer is below

Step-by-step explanation:

A triangle is a polygon with three sides and three angles. The types of triangles are scalene triangle, equilateral triangle, isosceles triangle, right angled triangle.

Two triangles are said to be similar if the ratio of their corresponding sides are in the same proportion.

AA similarity theorem states that two corresponding angles of two triangles are congruent then the two triangles are similar.

We can see that from triangle EFG and triangle GHJ that:

∠JHG = ∠GFE (given)

Also, ∠EGF = ∠JGH (vertical opposite angles are equal).

Since two angles of triangle EFG and two angles of triangle GHJ are equal, then the two triangles are said to be similar by AA similarity theorem.

Find the equation of the line which is perpendicular to the line y=− 1 3 x+6 through the point (2,4)
nikklg [1K]

The equation of the perpendicular line is   13y=27-x

Step-by-step explanation:

Writing the given equation to slope-intercept form.

y=− 1 3 x+6

The slope of this line is 13

The perpendicular slope is -1/13

Using  the new slope and the given point into the slope-intercept form to find the y-intercept.

4=-1/13(2)+c

2=-1/13+c

c=27/13

 y=-1/13x+27/13

So the equation of the perpendicular line is 13y=27-x

The figure shows a square, a regular pentagon and a regular hexagon put together. What is the measure of ∠BAC
Elan Coil [88]

Answer:

42

Step-by-step explanation:

One angle of a regular pentagon = 108°

One angle of a regular hexagon = 120°.

One angle of a square = 90°

∴ ∠BAC = 360 – (108 + 20 + 90) 360 – 318 = 42°

Kayla Can buy 2 pounds of bananas for $7. Write an equation to represent the cost , c, for b bananas.
gregori [183]
Well this is kind of difficult because we have no way to determine a constant for each banana; however, we can still formulate an equation to form some sort of solution.

2 \: lbs \: bananas = 7 \: dollars
Divide both sides by two:

1 \: lbs \: bananas = 3.50 \: dollars

Now, we can continue to go forward as long as know how many pounds each banana bunch weighs and how many bananas are in the bunch.

We could say there are "x" bananas in each pound of bananas:

x \: bananas \div 1 \: lbs \: bananas = 3.50 \: dollars
Or:

b \div 1 \: lbs \: bananas = 3.50c
Or to isolate "c":

(b \div 1 \: lbs \: bananas) \div 3.50 = c
