Answer:

1/3 gallon

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Let Gallon used to make :

Sorbet = x

candy = x + 1/3

Popsicles = x + 1/3 - 1/6

If gallon of juice used to make popsicles is 1/2 ; gallon of juice used to make sorbet is :

1/2 = x + 1/3 - 1/6

1/2 - 1/3 + 1/6 = x

L. C. M of 2, 3 and 6 = 6

(3 - 2 + 1) / 6 = x

2/ 6 = x

1/ 3 = x

Hence. Gallon of juice used to make sorbet = x = 1/3 gallon

Rama09 [41]

In order to have 4 kg, he must have 20/5 kg. Each bag is 2/5 kg, so 2/5 times 10 is 20/5 or 4kg. Therefore, he bought 10 bags of tangerines for the school party.
