Percent formula : is/of = %/100
is = 12
of = 60
% = x
now we sub

12/60 = x/100
cross multiply
(60)(x) = (12)(100)
60x = 1200
x = 1200/60
x = 20

check..
0.20(60) = 12
12 = 12 (correct)

so 20% of 60 is 12

Well, know that a percentage is obtained by multiplying a quantity (60) by a percentage (x). So we can set up an equation that states, <span>60x=12</span> Just divide by 60 and convert into percentage form.<span><span>x=12/60=.2=20percent</span></span>

Write the quadratic equation in standard form and then choose the value of "b." (2x - 1)(x + 6) = 0
Eddi Din [679]

ANSWER

b=11

EXPLANATION

The given quadratic equation is

(2x - 1)(x + 6) = 0

We expand to get:

2 {x}^{2}  + 12x - x - 6 = 0

We simplify further by combining the x terms.

2 {x}^{2}  + 11x - 6 = 0

This is the standard form.

Comparing to

a{x}^{2}  + bx  + c= 0

We have b=11
