Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

1) Regular price = $ 20

Reduction  = 18% of regular price

                 = 0.18 * 20

                 = 3.6

Discount price = 20 - 3.6 = $ 16.4

2) Regular price = $ x

Reduction  = 18% of regular price

                 = 0.18 * x

                 = 0.18x

Discount price =$ (20 - 0.18x)

3) Discount price = $ 18.45

Let the regular price be x

(100 - 18)%  of x = 18.45

           82% of x = 18.45

          \frac{82}{100}*x=18.45\\\\                      x = 18.45* \frac{100}{82}\\\\ x = 22.50

Regular price = $22.50

What is the probability that a randomly selected dunlop tire lasts between 65000 and 80000 miles?
taurus [48]
You are looking at around 81.5% i assume by shifting the standard deviation by the same amount on both sides the % will not change
 i split the normal distribution curve into 8 pieces
.15 +2.35+13.5+34+34+13.5+2.35+.15    34+34+13.5=81.5%
the ones bolded are the sections that u r dealing with
now the standard deviation is only 4400 so these numbers are going to be skewed off to the right a bit however bcus both sides are skewed evenly i believe they balance each other out
im not completely certain of this but still i hope i helped if so give me a brainliest answer i need a few more to move up a rank   -J (:

Models were build using a scale of 1 in : 50 ft. Find the height of the model for a building that is actually 470ft. tall.
velikii [3]
Proportion: a:b = c:d where ad = bc

a = 1 ; b = 50 ; c = x ; d = 470

1 inches : 50 feet = x inches : 470 feet
1* 470 = 50x
470/50 = x
9.4 = x

The model should be 9.4 inches high.

two trains leave the station at the same time, one heading west and the other east. The westbound train travels 10 miles per hou
Travka [436]

Answer: the rate of the westbound train is 85 mph.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the rate of the westbound train. The westbound train travels 10 miles per hour slower than the eastbound train. It means that the rate of the eastbound train is (x + 10) mph.

The two trains leave the station at the same time. The total distance covered by both trains after 3 hours is 540 miles.

Distance = speed × time

Distance covered by the westbound train in 3 hours is 3x.

Distance covered by the eastbound train in 3 hours is 3(x + 10)

Therefore,

3x + 3(x + 10) = 540

3x + 3x + 30 = 540

6x = 540 - 30 = 510

x = 510/6 = 85 mph
