A) Garage A = 3x
Garage B = 2x + 2
b) 2x + 2 = 3x
x = 2
c) the solution, 2, means the number of hour which both garages would have the equal amount of cost. In this case, in 2 hours, they would be equal in cost.

Given the points J(4,-7) and L(-2,13), find the coordinates of point k on JL such that the ratio of jk is 1:4
Irina-Kira [14]

Answer:

The coordinates of point k are (-2.8,-3)

Step-by-step explanation:

we shall use the internal division formula to find the coordinates of point k

Mathematically, the formula is as follows;

Let’s call the coordinates of point k (x,y)

(x , y) = mx2 + nx1/(m + n) , my2 + ny1/(m + n)

From the question;

m = 1 , n = 4

x1 = 4, x2= -2

y1 = -7 , y2 = 13

Substituting these values in the equation, we have the following;

1(-2) + 4(4)/(1 + 4) , 1(13) + 4(-7)/(1+4)

(-2+16)/5, (13 -28)/5

= -14/5, -15/5

= (-2.8, -3)

explain how you can find the height of a cylinder if you know the diameter and the volume. include an example with your explanat
ZanzabumX [31]
To find the height you need to take the volume, and the radius (halve the diameter to get the radius) and use the same formula that would be to find Volume and when you plug in the volume and radius you take the radius and solve it with the exponent. Then you take the solved radius and you multiply it with 3.14. After that you then divide the volume by the multiplication.
V=(3.14)(r^2)h
Example:
V=87.92m^3
pi=3.14
r=2m
h=?

87.92=(3.14(2)^2)h
87.92=(3.14(4))h
3.14*4=12.56
87.92/12.56=7
h=7m

Monica [59]
Unless they are opposite rays, then yes, they will always form a line.
