Ok so if you only want to watch four movies in the next two weeks the movie rentals is cheaper.
total cost for renting: 1 movie is 3.99
4 movies is 15.96
the movie pass is 20... you only want to watch 4 so the extra is wasted money
.. so finally rentals are cheaper

3. f(-6) = 12+1 =13

 f(-2) = 4+1 = 5

f(0) =1

Range {1,5,13}

4.  f(-2) = (-2)^3+1 =-7

  f(-1) = (-1)^2 +1 =0

f(3) = (3)^3 +1 = 28

Range = {-7,0,28}

5.the sequence is arithmetic

d= -11+19 = 8

an = a1 + d(n-1)

an = -19 +8(n-1)

6.l =w+5

a =l*w

a(w) =(w+5) * w

a(w)= w^2 +5w

f(w) = w^2 +5w

f(8) = 8^2 +5(8)

f(8) = 64 +40

f(8) =104 in^2

Algebra tiles to prove that 4 + 8x and 4(2x+1)
Dafna1 [17]
Not sure what algebra tiles are

not sure how to absolutely prove
I can prove it works at least most of the time by subsitute ing number for x

remember that 0,1,2 have special properties and are not very good for subsituting so
try 4
4+8(4)=4(2(4)+1)
true or false?
4+8(4)=4(2(4)+1)
multipily
4+32=4(8+1)
36=4(9)
36=36
this is treu at least for the number 4
another way is to believe in the distributive property where
a(b+c)=ab+ac so then
4(2x+1)=4(2x)+4(1)=8x+4=4+8x

Jackson is playing a game of chance where he must randomly draw a marble out of a jar. He calculates the probability of drawing
Sindrei [870]

Using complementary events, considering a \frac{1}{4} probability of drawing a red marble, the probability of not drawing a red marble is of \frac{3}{4}.

<h3>What are complementary events?</h3>

They are mutually exclusive events which have the sum of their probabilities as 1.

In this problem, we consider that there is a \frac{1}{4} probability of drawing a red marble, and since drawing a red marble and drawing a non-red marble are complementary events, we have that:

\frac{1}{4} + p = 1

p = \frac{3}{4}

The probability of not drawing a red marble is of \frac{3}{4}.
