Analyze the sentence to determine the main clause and the subordinate clause. Then choose the function of the subordinate clause
yuradex [85]
The main clause here is The man autographed copies of it at the bookstore. This means that the subordinate clause is what is left - who wrote this new and popular book.
The subordinate clause functions as an adjective, which means that it describes the subject the man.

Why is it important for Winnie to consider the Tucks her friends, hers alone?
Neporo4naja [7]

I read this book 2 years ago, so I am a bit rusty on what happened. I hope this can help.

It is important for Winnie to consider the Tucks her friends, alone because the Tucks barely talked to other people. Winnie met the Tucks by chance and she talked to them. The Tucks barely had any other friends because they lived forever.

I kinda forgot a bunch of things, but I hope this can be a good starter.

Setler79 [48]
First, there is a gap here:
Puritanism ?????the wealth, power, and authority of Catholicism and the Church of England.

I think that this is best filled with "rejected" - as they rejected the authority of the Catholic Church.
However, I am also considering "aimed to acquire" as the Puritans did not reject money or did not seek poverty specifically although they valued frugal life.

Second blank :
Puritans adopted the basic principles of... Calvinism, Calvinism is the view that suggest predestination!

After this:

Puritans also believed in the concept of .....The original sin. That's why they had to be saved!
