Answer:

These lines of A Princess Bride is said by a static character.

Explanation:

These lines in the Princess Bride were said by Wesley. Wesley is one of the main characters and the love interest of Buttercup.  A static character is someone who does not change over time. Their personality does not change or evolve over the course of the story. Wesley seems to be this kind of character because he is absolutely resolute in his pursuit of Buttercup. His love for Buttercup is constant.  However in the scope of the entire movie, Wesley is also a round character as he does show depth and he does change to some degree. He takes on the persona of Dread Pirate Roberts, for example.

This final chapter depicts the complete transformation (not only in name) from Animal Farm to Manor Farm. There will never be a "retirement home" for old animals (as evidenced by Clover), and the pigs come to resemble their human oppressors to the degree that "it was impossible to say which was which."

The completion of the second windmill marks not the rebirth of Snowball's utopian vision, but a further linking of the animals and humans: Used not for a dynamo but instead for milling corn (and thus making money), the windmill's symbolic meaning has (like everything else) been reversed and corrupted. Animal Farm is now inexorably tied to its human neighbors in terms of commerce and atmosphere.

He's trying to explain what exactly motivated him, particularly in the second paragraph. It was none of the things that would motivate someone to commit murder. Gain of any kind was out of the question. Feelings were not the motive. Nothing the old man had motivated him.

It was just his eye. So he's in a battle with himself. (That's the first answer).

We are leading up to something and we need to have a background. This is not the climax or the resolution. It is not the falling action -- just the opposite. It is the build up towards the climax.

So the only thing it can be is the exposition which is the second answer.
