To express present affairs/permanent or long lasting situation

 For eg: He speaks English very well.

To express habitual actions/ repeated actions/daily routine

 For eg: When do you usually have breakfast?

To express truth and facts/ saying and proverb

To express fixed time table/scheduled future actions.

 For eg: The match starts at 9 o' clock.
