Perhaps, in America, teachers could be more understanding if you fail. For instance, in numerous American and European universities, teachers understand if you suffer from exam-related anxiety and are able to re-schedule your exam, while in China this could be unacceptable.
- In China, teachers would expect my behavior to be impeccable as discipline is extremely important. While discipline is important in America, it is not as formal as in Chinese schools.
- In contrast to American schools, Chinese schools don't usually accept visitors. Therefore, they would expect me to not receive visits; whereas in American schools it is normal to receive friends or family and access the school.
