We have simply watched a video; it's a scene from the pic “Falling down”. a person enters a fast-food eating house to order breakfast. The waiter refuses him as a result of the breakfasts are not any longer served. She offers him lunch. the person gets angry and asks what she calls the manager. He comes in and tells him an equivalent issue, that they stop serving breakfast at 11:30. It’s 11:31.

They force him to possess lunch, they do not take him into consideration. This lack of respect, even supposing he's a client, that he pays, drives him crazy. He pulls out a weapon. most are scared! And he asks for breakfast once more, the solution is "yes, sire." thus he modifies his mind, and decides to decide on lunch. He teases folks as a result of he created an associate attack within the nutriment for his breakfast and currently he doesn’t need it.

Which of the following statements about contractions is true?
77julia77 [94]

The statement about contractions that is true is <u>You should usually omit contractions from academic writing.</u>

<u />

A contraction is the use of symbols or words to shorten a sentence or phrase, which makes it informal.

For example, when the phrase: "You are eating Oreos" is used and a person wants to shorten it using contraction, then he would exchange the "a" with an apostrophe which shortens it and gives you: "<u>You're eating Oreos"</u>

Therefore, the statement about contractions which is true is:

<u>A. You should usually omit contractions from academic writing.</u>
