Answer and Explanation:

The main reason why the US officially entered World War II was because Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, which was part-military base on Hawaii, and killed thousands of people and destroyed many ships. If Pearl Harbor was never attacked, then the US would most likely have not entered World War II. They did however support "The Allies" who were fighting against the Axis Powers. The principal belligerents were the Axis powers—Germany, Italy, and Japan—and the Allies—France, Great Britain, the United States, the Soviet Union, and, to a lesser extent, China.
