The poem is saying that love and friendship is a lie. Love is nothing but something to fill your void and to leave you waiting their hopelessly and friendship is even worse, there will only be 1 true good friend in your life while the rest are fake. They talk behind your back and will be traitrous. Love and friendship is poise. Friendship is more about will power on who has more friends and better control of the so called freidn group.
