Try making compound sentences using conjunctions. It’s technically grammatically correct, and if you were to write like that on the SAT, it still technically would be counted as correct, but it’s good to get into the habit of using conjunctions when writing.

I believe that C is the best answer. A and D are out easy beacuse they don't go well with the plot and B is incorrect because it mentions too much about Spike and not about Mikkel's own passion to become a DJ while still telling how he got the equipment.
