Answer:

$10 for child tickets and $4 for adult tickets.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let a = price of adult tickets

     c = price of child tickets

(1)    12a + 6c = 108           (2)    2a + 12c = 128    Multiply (2) by -6

      <u>-12a - 72c = -768</u>

              -66c = -660

                   c = $10                   2a + 12(10) = 128

                                                  2a + 120 = 128

                                                              2a = 8

                                                                a = $4

Something is wrong.  The adult tickets should be more than the child tickets.

But,  according to the info you have given, it comes out to $10 for child tickets and $4 for adult tickets.

What is the equation of the line passing through the points (3,6) and (2,10)
andrezito [222]

Answer: y= - 4x+18

Step-by-step explanation:

Equation: y=mx+b

***remember: b is the y-intercept and m is the slope.

m=\frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}

3= x1

2= x2

6= y1

10=y2

m=\frac{10-6}{2-3}= \frac{4}{1}= -4

m=-4

Now we have y=-4x+b , so let's find b.

You can use either (x,y) such as (3,6) or (2,10) point you want..the answer will be the same:

   (3,6). y=mx+b or 6=-4 × 3+b, or solving for b: b=6-(-4)(3). b=18.

   (2,10). y=mx+b or 10=-4 × 2+b, or solving for b: b=10-(-4)(2). b=18.

Equation of the line: y=-4x+18

Answer:

  • x/45 = 9 m/30
  • x = 13.5 . . . meters

Step-by-step explanation:

In similar triangles, corresponding sides are proportional. This lets us write an equation involving x. Sides adjacent are proportional to sides opposite the vertical angle.

  x/45 = 9/30

__

Multiplying by 45 gives the solution:

  x = 45(9/30) = 13.5 . . . meters
