In 1949 the USA and USSR were at an arms race for nuclear warfare weaponry because the USSR had tested its first atomic bomb and then the USA had to do the same and develop better weaponry or try to so that way if the USSR strikes the USA then they were able to strike back. Many in the USA believed that it was the end once the USSR made an atomic bomb and even prepared children to take gas masks to school because of how much the USA thought they would be eventually nuked by the USSR.

Which ideas or situations are consistent with the concept of free enterprise? Check all that apply.
irina [24]

I believe the answer is:

1) Consumers overwhelmingly prefer one sandwich shop to another.

3) A hair stylist decides to reduce prices on his services.

4) A worker at a factory decides to take another job for higher pay.

6) A business owner decides to offer a new product for sale.

In the concept of free enterprise, the government would have little to no influence over the economy. Which means that things such as price of the product, the type of product that being used, and ownership of assets would belong to the people in the private sectors.

Len [333]

Answer:

B) athletes

Explanation:

Considering the lifestyles of athletes, we can assume that associating with them should reduce the risk of victimization. Athletes tend to work out during the day or the afternoons and tend to rest at night. They also smoke less and consume less alcohol and other types of drugs.

The lifestyle theory of victimology states that the chances of an individual suffering from a crime depend heavily on their own lifestyle. For example, most crimes happen at night, so people who like to hang out at night are more likely to suffer some type of victimization.

This theory also states that the percentage of criminals is very small (compared to society as a whole) and their crimes are unevenly distributed. This creates places with high risk of criminal occurrence. The lifestyle of individuals can determine the likelihood of being a victim or being a criminal specially through exposure to certain situations.
