Area=bh
b=base
h=height

Since a square has 4 equal sides, we can √83 to give us each side. This being 9.11 feet

perimeter=9.11+9.11+9.11+9.11=36.44

Answer: 36 to the nearest foot

Sign the following values a=5 b=10 c=15
a_sh-v [17]

Answer:

a=5,b=10,c=15

1)(a+b)-5(c+a)

=(5+10)-5(15+5)

=(15)-5(20)

=15-5(20)

=10(20)

=200

2)(10×15)10(5×2)

=150×10×10

=15000

3)(a-b)+(a+b)

(5-10)+(10+5)

(-5)+15

-5+15

=10

4)(2ab-45)+a

=(2×5×10-45)+5

=(100-45)+5

=55+5

Algebra help - asymptotes
motikmotik

Find where the equation is undefined ( when the denominator is equal to 0.

Since they say x = 5, replace x in the equation see which ones equal o:

5-5 = 0

So we know the denominator has to be (x-5), this now narrows it down to the first two answers.

To find the horizontal asymptote, we need to look at an equation for a rational function: R(x) = ax^n / bx^m, where n is the degree of the numerator and m is the degree of the denominator.

In the equations given neither the numerator or denominators have an exponent ( neither are raised to a power)

so the degrees would be equal.

Since they are equal the horizontal asymptote is the y-intercept, which is given as -2.

This makes the first choice the correct answer.

suppose there is a 1.1 degree F drop in temperature every thousand feet that an airplane climbs into the sky. if the temp on the
Aleks04 [339]

For this case, the first thing we must do is define variables.

We have then:

x: altitude of the plane in feet

y: final temperature

The equation modeling the problem for this case is given by:

y = - \frac{1.1}{1000} x + 59.7

Thus, evaluating the function for x = 11,000 ft. Height we have:

y = - \frac{1.1}{1000} (11000) +59.7

y = 47.6

Answer:

the temperature at an altitude of 11,000 ft is 47.6 F

5+2x=2x+6 please answer
madam [21]

If we firstly consider only the terms in x.

subtract 2x from both sides of the equation

⇒5+2x

−2x=2x−2x

+6

Observe that the x terms are eliminated and we are left with

5+0=0+6 that is 5=6 which is invalid

There is no solution to this equation.
