Answer:

  1. Smooth muscles can be found in Vessels
  2. Skeletal muscles can be found in the body Extremities and the contraction is voluntary
  3. Cardiac muscle is similar to skeletal muscle. Cells are arranged parallel to each other and the contraction is similar molecularly.

Explanation:

  • The smooth muscle is formed by fusiform cells, mononucleated, and no transversal striations. There is a protein contraction system, but not as organized as the one of the skeletal muscle.

Smooth-muscle can be found in organs, vessels, veins, and arteries. It provides sustained contractions, slow and rhythmical, but not voluntary.

  • Skeletal muscle is the most abundant muscle in vertebrates, constituting the somatic musculature. It proportionates motion to extremities and digits and is responsible for the position and posture of the individual. It is also involved in eye movements, respiration, mastication, deglutition, and phonation. It moves the tongue, the superior esophagus, and the pharynx.

The skeletal muscle is innervated by axons of the motor neurons coming from the CNS. The contraction of the skeletal muscle is voluntary and fast.

Cells composing the striated muscle are significantly long and multinucleated. They arrange in bundles, where cells are parallel to each other.

  • Myocardium tissue is more similar to the striated tissue than to the smooth one. However, there are some differences between them. Cardiac cells are cylindrical and smaller, with ramifications. Cardiac cells only have one nucleus, and occasionally there can be two. Actin and myosin filaments are arranged just as the skeletal ones, and the contraction of cardiac cells is molecularly very similar to the skeletal.

Which type of organism most likely evolved first?
Irina-Kira [14]

Answer:

Option A) Simple Prokaryotes.

Explanation:

  • The first life that existed on Earth was the single-celled microbes who lack a well defined nucleus and are known as Prokaryotes
  • They existed on Earth for almost four billion years ago.
  • In Prokaryotes "Pro" means before and "Karyon" means nucleus which means they lacked nucleus and many other cell organelles that complex structures have.
  • They are single celled organism adaptive of living in earth older environment.

Result: Simple Prokaryotes was the first life on earth.

Muscle fibers can be divided into two main types or categories (i.e., Type I and Type II) based on what distinction: a. thicknes
Gelneren [198K]

Answer:

c. time to reach maximum tension

Explanation:

Muscle tension is defined as the contraction of muscles for an extended period of time. Physiological effects such as running and exercise of stress are the cause of muscle tension.

Skeletal muscle fibres into two types including slow-twitch (type I) and fast-twitch (type II).

  1. Muscle fibres of type I are more effective over long time periods. They are used mainly for postural maintenance (such as keeping the head upright), or mobility exercises (running).
  2. Type II muscle fibres use anaerobic breathing, and are stronger than Type I fibres for quick bursts of energy, even though they fatigue quicker.

So the muscle fibers divided on the basis of time to reach maximum tension while doing physiological activities.

Hence, the correct option is C.
