In my opinion, the correct answer is A. unhealthy family relations. Even though the Usher siblings might be mentally ill, we don't see that from this excerpt, just like there are no hints at supernatural beings or weak women characters. We just see the eerie bonds that have connected all members of the family, along with the house as a "creature" of its own.
The speaker doesn't allow anyone to label him as either poor, or sad, or unhappy. Nobody's position in this world is secure. Therefore, nobody should estimate other people's state. In reality, everything is relative and we aren't capable of objectivity. The speaker, however, defends his right to "hope for heaven", although the heaven might mean nothing to someone else.
