A storage bin is 12ft long 4ft wide 2ft high what is the volume in cubic ft
MariettaO [177]
Hello!

This is a rectangular prism

The equation to find the volume of a rectangular prism is

V = whl

v is volume
w is width
h is height
l is length

Put in the values you know

V = 12 * 4 * 2

Multiply

V = 96

The answer is 96 cubic feet

Hope this helps!

What is the perimeter of the triangle below? Round to the nearest hundredth.
Keith_Richards [23]

You're going to need to use Pythagoras' theorem to work this one out!

As you know, the perimeter of a triangle is just all the lengths of the sides added up.

We'll start with side AC first. We can see that A is (-8, -4) and C is (-6, -2). That means to get from A to C, we need to go 2 units to the right, and 2 units up. Which means we have our two sides to work out the length from Pythagoras' theorem. 2² + 2² = c², c = √8.

Now we'll move onto side AB. We already know A is (-8, -4) from above, and B is (-7, -8). That means to get from A to B, we have to go 4 units down, and 1 unit to the right. So once again: 4² + 1² = c², c = √17.

Lastly, we'll work out side BC. We know that B is (-7, -8) and C is (-6, -2). That means to get to C from B, we have to go 1 unit to the right and 6 units up. So, again: 1² + 6² = c², c = √37.

Now that we have all of our lengths, we simply just add them up!

√8 + √17 + √37 ≈ 13.03 units.

(I've also attached something to help you visualise how I worked it out.)

If you can tell me what the missing number is.
Orlov [11]

Answer:

6

Step-by-step explanation:

So, to start answering this, lets recall the formula for a rectangles volume:

This formula is :

V=h*w*l

Lets plug in what we know, and solve for the missing variable.

We know that height(h) is 7.

We know that width(w) is 9.

We know that volume(V) is 378.

We are missing length(l)

So:

378=7*9*l

To find length(l), we must iscolate it.

To do this, we must get rid of the 7 and 9.

So lets start by dividing 378 by 9:

378/9=7*9/9*l

=

42=7*l

Now lets do the same thing with the 7 to iscolate l:

42/7=7/7*l

=

6=l

So our missing length(l) is 6.

Answer:

l = 6

Hope this helps!

Victoria can make 8 necklaces in 4 days. How long does it take her to make ond necklace?
irina1246 [14]

Answer:

0.5\ days

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

Using proportion

\frac{4}{8}\frac{days}{necklaces} =\frac{x}{1}\frac{days}{necklace} \\ \\x=4/8\\ \\x=0.5\ days
