mixas84 [53]

Answer:

b. Descriptive study

Explanation:

A descriptive research is a research method used to describe and explain a certain behavior of a population or phenomenon under study. It is a qualitative study that does not involve testing of the cause and effect of variables. It involves the use of qualitative methods such as surveys, interviews, observations, case study etc, to carry out research on a subject matter to give answers to the “what” questions raised, rather than to the “why”, “how” questions raised in a research subject.

The purpose statement in the question most likely indicates a descriptive study. It answers the “what” question i.e. what are the caring behaviors desired by patients with AIDS or HIV?  In the course of the study, caring behaviors that AIDS or HIV patients desire would be identified and discussed.
