It claims that training is a social cognitive function that may proceed only through watching or direct teaching, even in the lacking of physical replication or direct feedback. 

Learning happens through the monitoring of incentives and penalties in additional to monitoring of behavior, a process called as vicariously reinforcing When a behavior is consistently acknowledged, it is more likely to continue; on the other hand, if a behavior is consistently penalized, it is more likely to stop.
