There are a few trees in a garden. On one of them, a pear tree, there are pears (quite logical). But after a strong wind blew, t

here were neither pears on the tree nor on the ground. . How come?

So based on your question that states a few trees in garden and one of them is a pear tree, there are pears. But a strong wind blew, there were neither pears on the tree nor on the ground. I think the best explaination to this statement is that some one might pick up the pear tree or it can be that its the wrong tree that is blown.

The proper way to write the sentence would be "However, no one believed rumors about the Komodo dragon either." Since commas are used after words like "first, second, third, then, finally, however, but..." there would only be 1 comma in this sentence.
