Derek wants to construct a square box stall for each horse that is to be housed in a stable. He wants all of the box stalls to h

ave the same length on a side. Derek has a total area of 20,250 square feet in which to construct the box stalls. The equation for the side length, x, of a box stall in terms of the number of horses, n, the stable wants to house is x = √. If each box stall is 9 feet long on a side, the stable can house horses.

The total area of the stable is 20,250 sq. ft.

Let n = total number of box stalls.

Each box stall is a square of length 9 ft.
Total area  = 9^2n = 81n ft².
Therefore
81n = 20250
n = 20250/81 = 250

Answer: 250 horses.

Answer: I think it is 1572 sq feet

Step-by-step explanation:

14x13x9=1638

Window is 4x4.5=18

Door 1 is8x3=24

Door 2 8x3=24

Since the doors and window are not included in what was painted you need to subtract those totals from the room.

So, 1638-18=1620

1620-48(two doors)=1572 sq feet

A rectangular prism is 5 meters long, 2 meters wide. amd 2 meters high. What is the suface area of this prism in square inches?
Triss [41]
Surface area of a prism=2(long x wide)+2(long x high )+2(wide x high)
Data:
long=5 m
wide=2 m
high=2 m

Surface area of this prism=2(5 m * 2 m)+2(5 m*2 m)+2(2 m*2m)
=2(10 m ²)+2(10 m²)+2(4 m²)
=20 m²+20 m²+8 m²
=48 m²

Answer: C 48 m²

2. A 60 degree sector is 1/6 of a circle which is 360 degrees. So the area is 1/6 * 42 = 7, so B

3. area = pi * r^2 = 3.14 * 3^2 = 28.27, which is closest to A
