Answer:

Yes, when I was in middle school, my math grades were pretty bad. I always had a really hard time understanding my teacher's math lessons.

To overcome this, I spent a lot of time on Khan Academy. The website is really useful, and it can help improve your math bit by bit. I gradually worked my way up, and I got on pace. Now I'm in 10th grade, and my math is much better.

A lot of times I wanted to give up because I thought it was a waste of time, but I think it was the peer pressure that pushed me forward. I did lots of khan academy over the summer in 8th grade, and now I'm much more confident about my math skills.

In the summer, I spent about an hour every day on khan academy, their courses are free and they are also understandable.

I wish you well in the future. It's better late than never.

Life Advice:

I, too have experienced a huge fall in my math grades. I'm currently in high school and I have maybe 2 assignments done in my entire school year of math. I have almost no problem with any other subject, I just can't motivate myself to do math. I have a hard time ever even considering catching up, and I personally do not know if I will.

You might have the same problem I do, which is just lack of motivation.

If I were you I would provide some sort of incentive to get yourself to do it more efficiently and better yet, more enjoyably. I also advise listening to music that can get you in a good mood. Both of these things have been a huge help for me to stay motivated in other classes, and they may even help you with math.

I would also recommend getting some kind of a personal tutor. A friend, a worker at school, one of your math teachers. Never feel embarrassed to tell them you're behind. People will almost always be understanding when it comes to helping someone learn something they're behind on.

For an incentive, think about something you might be able to buy with money from a job that you take outside of high school, like a car or a house, or a guitar.

I, personally, am going to get a really beat-up pickup truck if it lasts till the end of my school year.

I hope this helped!

Thanks!

Your friend in life,

~Steve

In Walmart parking, there are 175 vehicles parked joe figures out that 64% of the vehicles are white. How many vehicles are NOT
aksik [14]

Answer:

63 vehicles are not white

Step-by-step explanation:

Well you know that there are 175 total vehicles, and that 64% of those vehicles are white. Therefore the remaining percentage of vehicles must not be white.

100%-64%=36%

This means that 36% of the vehicles aren't white.

Now you must find what 36% of 175 is. The word "of" always signals for multiplication, which is exactly what you need to do here. First start by converting the percentage into decimal form:

36%=0.36

Now you can multiply

175 x 0.36 = 63

63 Vehicles are not white

Natasha is a bank teller. She received a 5% raise last year and a subsequent merit raise of 3% this year. What is the accumulati
Anvisha [2.4K]

Answer:

The correct answer is C. 8.15%.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that Natasha is a bank teller, and she received a 5% raise last year and a subsequent merit raise of 3% this year, to determine what is the accumulative or compound effect of these two raises as a percentage, the following calculation must be performed, assuming, as an example, that her starting salary was $ 2,000:

(2,000 x 1.05) x 1.03 = X

2,100 x 1.03 = X

2,163 = X

2,000 = 100

2,163 = X

2,163 x 100 / 2,000 = X

216,300 / 2,000 = X

108.15 = X

108.15 - 100 = 8.15

Thus, the compound effect of both salary increases is a salary increase of 8.15%.

Ashley found 2 boxes of sugar in the kitchen. The green box is 1.26 kg and the red box is 1.026 kg. Which box contains more suga
Anni [7]

Answer:

Answer:

Green box contains more sugar.

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the provided information.

Ashley found 2 boxes of sugar in the kitchen.

The green box says 1.26 kg and the red box says 1.026 kg.

we need to find which box contains more sugar.

To find this we will first check the digit at ones place.

Both the digit has 1 at the ones place. So now check the digit at tenths place.

1.26 has 2 at tenths place while 1.026 has 0 at tenths place.

As we know 2 is greater than 0, thus the number 1.26 is greater than 1.026.

Hence, green box contains more sugar.
