The way you solve that is for every day the farmer is filling 7 bins of corn. So if he needs to fill 560 bins of corn you just divide 560/7 and that equal 80. So the answer would be 80 days.

WORTH 30 PTS PLS ANSWER ASAP.
andrew11 [14]
Assuming that X represents the number of hours worked and f(x) the number of cars washed, the equation would be f(x)=11x+14x.

The 11x represents the number of cars washed by Arianna in x number of hours and the 14x represents the number of cars washed by Matthew in x number of hours. You add the two because they are each washing their own car at their own pace but working on one lot.

Apples cost $3.60 for 3 lb. At that rate, how many pounds of apples can you buy for $8.40?
irinina [24]

Apples cost $3.60 for 3 pounds . The rate can be calculated as follows

\begin{gathered} 3\text{ pounds = \$3.60} \\ 1\text{ pounds = ?} \\ \text{rate = }\frac{3.60}{3} \\ \text{rate}=\text{ \$1.2 per pound} \end{gathered}

The amount of pounds you can buy for $8.40 can be computed below

\begin{gathered} \text{rate}=\frac{8.40}{\text{pounds}} \\ 1.2=\frac{8.40}{\text{pounds}} \\ weight\text{ in pounds = }\frac{8.40}{1.2} \\ \text{weight in pounds = 7 Ib} \end{gathered}
