The height of the balloon from ground is 100√3m.

Justification:

The above situation forms a right angled triangle ABC in which length of cable 200m indicates the hypotenuse side and angle of inclination is 60°.

So, In ΔABC

sinθ = p/h

sin60° = AB/AC

√3/2 = AB/200

AB = 200√3/2

AB = 100√3m.

Answer:

 100√3 ≈ 173 m

Step-by-step explanation:

The mnemonic SOH CAH TOA reminds you of the relevant relationships.

 Sin = Opposite/Hypotenuse

 sin(60°) = height/(200 m)

 height = (200 m)sin(60°) ≈ 173.205 m

The height of the balloon is about 173 meters.

Find and simplify an expression for the area of two rows of b squares with side lengths of b centimeters. Please help!
Ronch [10]

Answer:

The complete area of the given figure is (2 b^3) cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Total number of rows = 2

Squares in each row = b

So, the total number of squares in 2 rows = 2 x ( Squares in 1 row ) = 2 x b

Also, side length of 1 square = b cm

As we know, AREA OF SQUARE = SIDE x SIDE

So here, area of 1 square = Side x side = b cm x b cm = (b^2) cm^2

⇒ The area of total (2b) squares = 2 b x ( Area of 1 square)

= 2 b \times (b^2) = 2 b^3

Hence, the complete area of the given figure is (2 b^3) cm^2

PEMDAS

Multiplication:
10* -4 / 3*9 = -40 / 27

Addition:
-40 / 27 + 7/6 find common denominator 108

-40*4 / 27*4 + 7*18 / 6*18
-160 / 108 + 126 / 108
-34 / 108
-17 / 54

Subtract:
-17 / 54 - 2/5 common denominator 270
17*5 / 54*5 - 2*54 / 5*54
-85 / 270 - 108 / 270
-193 / 270

-193/ 270 = -0.7148
-8 / 15 = -0.7148 :)

One month,Jill worked 2 more hours than Ivan,and Susie worked three times as many hours as Jill. Together they works 48 hours. F
vovikov84 [41]

Let us assume Ivan worked = x hours.

Jill worked 2 more hours than Ivan.

Therefore, jill worked = x +2 hours.

Susie worked three times as many hours as Jill.

Therefore, Susie woked 3 times of number of hours of Jill = 3(x+2).

Total number of hours they worked together = 48 hours.

Number of hours Ivan worked + Number of hours Jill worked + Number of hours Susie worked = 48.

Therefore,

x+ x+2 + 3(x+2) =48.

Distributing 3 over (x+2), we get 3x +6.

Therefore,

x+ x+2 + 3(x+2) =48

=> x+x+2+3x+2 = 48.

Combining like terms, we get

5x + 4 = 48.

Subtracting 4 from both sides, we get

5x + 4-4 = 48-4.

5x = 44.

Dividing both sides by 5, we get

x= 44/5 hours or 8 4/5 hours.

Therefore, Ivan worked = 8 4/5 hours.

Jill worked = x +2 hours = 8 4/5 hours + 3 = 11 4/5 hours.

Susie woked = 3 (x+2) = 3 (44/5 +2 ) = 3(54/5) = 162/5 hours or 32 2/5 hours.
