Answer:

The answer to this question would be: Fluorine

Explanation:

Fluorine is one of the halogen gas that is known as highly reactive. It should be the most reactive element in the periodic table. All halogen gas is reactive because they need 1 more electron to complete their set of valence electron. The nonreactive element would be the noble gas which has a full set valence of the electron.

When you’re in a cold place in December and you’re planning a vacation for February, are you interested in a location’s weather
Elanso [62]
I think you would be more interested in the location's weather than the climate because if you are wanting to get away from the winter cold for awhile then you would probably plan to go somewhere close to the equator, where it is warmer. A location's weather could be scattered or generally misinterpreted as weather can be random at times.

Which of the statements best describes the process of crossing over during meiosis? Haploid daughter cells trade chromosomes in
Maslowich

Homologous chromosomes pair up and exchange segments of DNA.

Option A

Explanation:

Crossing over is an event of Prophase 1 of meiosis 1. It occurs in the zygotene phase of prophase 1. Here the homologous chromosome pairs get very close together and gets packed within protein coat. The enzymes randomly cut the DNA segments from both chromosomes at same loci and exchange them with each other. This results in the exchange of genes between the two chromosomes. This is how the variation comes to place between offsprings of the same individuals. The crossing over results to form X shaped intersections between homologous pair of chromosomes which is called as chaismata. This phase occurs in pachytene phase and is visible in diplotene phase when the protein coat dissolves.

nexus9112 [7]

Answer:

The probability of getting a dwarf and pink female is 1/2

Explanation:

In mice, dwarfism is caused by an X-linked recessive allele, and pink coat is caused by an autosomal dominant allele where coats are normally brownish.

A dwarf female from a pure line will have Xd Xd where d represent the recessive trait and the female is also brownish (pp).

A pink male from a pure line will be XPY where P represent the dominant allele but not a dwarf (D).
