President Biden wants to spend $3 Trillion on Infrastructure improvement. Republicans claim this will be inflationary. Why

History

Answer:

Republicans will claim that such a large spending in infrastructure could be inflationary mainly because of two reasons:

1. If most of the infrastructure bill is financed by money creation from the Federal Reserve, it could always exist the risk of higher inflation due to the growth of the money supply in the economy.

2. If the economic recovery goes faster and better than expected, then, such a large spending bill could theoretically overheat the economy, and cause inflation.

Both of these reasons are highly debatable, and are contentious not only among politicians, but also among economists.

Miranda v. Arizona has a very significant impact today. This case ruled that any arrested person must be read his/her Miranda Rights (You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. Etc.). This is due to the fact that many people self-incriminated themselves because they were unaware of their rights. This lead to innocent people being accused of crimes.

Hope this helps!

Use the following quote from the North American Free Trade Agreement (1993), to answer the question below:
Dimas [21]

Based on the quote, critics of NAFTA might have claimed that:

A) Mexican workers would be unfairly taken advantage of

What can be deduced about the critics of NAFTA from the text?

The critics of NAFTA believe that Mexico was not as strong as the other countries who entered the trade agreement so the possibility that they will be taken advantage of was there.

Having read the above statement from the 1993 agreement of NAFTA, we can see that the reference to the United Mexican states must have proved that the union was needed to stand side by side with the American and Canadian states.

Critics might have believed that Mexico was vulnerable and could be unfairly taken advantage of in the deal.
