The Bill of Rights should explain that just because you have "Freedom of Speech", that doesn't mean that you should use that freedom to put down or demean others. For too long, people who want to put others down have been able to hide behind the first ammendment, saying that they can say whatever they feel like because they have the freedom to do so. That is not acceptable. To put it simply, I once had a teacher tell me, "Your freedom of speech ends when it imposes on someone else's right to peace and happiness."

Also, those with a personality-based mental illness shouldn't be allowed to have a gun. I am not hating on people with mental illnesses, as I have about 20, but many people who end up shooting up schools and things like that have a mental illness.

Take a look at William Byrd's portrait. How do elements of the painting suggest Byrd's status as a member of the colonial gentry
Murljashka [212]

Answer and Explanation:

The portrait shows Byrd in a setting that refers to colonial farms, in addition, he wears clothes common to gentlemen with economic means. His clothes feature vibrant colors and expensive fabrics that are rare to find at the time. We can see that he wears a blue velvet garment, with a shirt inside that also appears clean shiny and made to measure. This all reveals that he belonged to a high social class and was someone with a good economic condition.

Ancient Athenians held their ___ in the highest regard, whereas the Spartans considered their ___ accomplishments to be of utmos
alexandr1967 [171]

Answer:

B) Culture; military

Explanation:

Athens and Sparta were two powerful rivaling city-states (poleis) in Ancient Greece. In some ways, they were similar, but their values and lifestyles were different. For example, their form of government wasn't too different. An Assembly, whose members were chosen by the people, was present in both city-states. Sparta had two kings, while archons, who were elected every year, ruled Athens. In Sparta, the focus among the people was on war and obedience. Since childhood, boys would train to become warriors, while girls were supposed to become mothers of warriors. Athens was completely different. The focus was on education, art, and science. Boys could become warriors but didn't have to.
