Intervention is such an important step in helping to stop a drug addiction because the person needs to know the harm they are causing and who it’s affecting so they will be more inclined to try to stop
A situation where someone may need an intervention could be if a parent is doing hard drugs and is passed out half the time it’s going to affect how the kids grow up and how the kids perceive their parents
You could refer a client to AA or NIDA
