Latin America and Africa were seen as sourcing points for European Crowns. Immense mines that contained precious metals such as Gold and Silver were exploited by the Spaniards in the territories now known as Peru, Bolivia, and Mexico. Diamonds and other minerals were also being extracted by the French in Africa.

The common scene in all of these places was the oppression and brutality by which colonialists enslaved and treated the locals, forcing them to work long shifts and under bad conditions in order to extract the minerals.
