You have to plug in -6 into the variable n
so it would look like this:

f(-6) = -6^4+5(-6)^3 -(-6)^2+33(-6)+15

then you can use a calculator and solve it (don’t forget to use PEMDAS)

f(-6) = -1296+ 5(-216) - 36+ (-198) +15

f(-6) = -1296-1080-36-198+15

f(-6) = -2595

I hope this helps you understand it better!

A small cruising ship that can hold up to 66 people provides three-day excursions to groups of 42 or more. If the group contains
lana66690 [7]

Answer:

50 people

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the number of people on the cruise. The amount they each must pay is ...

... ($58 -(x -42)) = $100 -x

The revenue from the group is the product of the number of people and the amount each pays:

... r(x) = x·(100 -x)

This describes a downward-opeing parabola with zeros at x=0 and x=100. The vertex (maximum) will be found halfway between those zeros, at x=50.

A group size of 50 maximizes revenue from the cruise.

Not to be mean Fernanda but it wouldn't be 0 it actually would be 0.19444444 so I would just put 0.194 and put a line over the 4 to show that it repeats continuously

The two fastest times in past 20 years for the girls 200-meter run at Clarksville elementary school are 27.97 seconds and 27.93
Delvig [45]

Answer:

The answer to your question is: no

Step-by-step explanation:

Data

Fastest time = 27.93 s

Second fastest time = 27.97 s

Claire's time = 27.99 s

Just remember that to win a race, the athete that wins must register the lowest time.

Substract Claire's time from the fastest time, if the result is positive, Claire ran slower, if the result is negative Claire ran faster than the previous Girls.

Difference 1 = 27.99 - 27.93 = 0.06 positive, Claire ran slower

Difference 2 = 27.99 - 27.97 = 0.02 positive, Claire ran slower.
