Jim was never late. Della doubled the fob chain in her hand and sat on the corner of the table near the door that he always entered. Then she heard him.

I've read that story too many times. They seemed in love. They may have been poor but they still had each other. They sacrificed their valuables for each other's happiness. It's so cuuute!

The author’s most likely purpose for writing this memoir was - "To explain what it was like to grow up in India under British rule. Therefore, D is the correct option.

What does the memoir talk about?

The central idea behind the purpose for the writer to write this memoir was to convey the inferior feelings that Indians were going through in their own country during British rule and how they felt that they were deserted and that their culture was old-fashioned when compared with that of Britishers.

The author emphasizes the idea of holding intact one culture no matter what happens and that every culture is unique in its own sense hence one shall not feel inferior to others when comparing the two cultures because the two shall not be compared in the first place.

Answer:

By just reading the beginning, I can tell it's pretty good! A few suggestions: Try not to use "also" in the beginning of a sentence. I feel like it sounds a bit unprofessional. This sort of goes for "this also". One last thing, when putting in the name of an article for example, make sure to put quotes. I would also recommend to state where you cited textual evidence, not really for articles, but just for the future. Besides that, looking good!

I know it's pretty late but I thought I'd still respond
