Answer:

The answer is Exponential decay, 25% decrease

Step-by-step explanation:

In f(x) = 16(0.75)x the (0.75) does not have a 1 so it is decreasing and if it is only 75% of 16 then it would be losing 25% each time

konstantin123 [22]
Ok so first we need to work out the vertical line in the middle (ab) using Pythagoras
Square root(7.5^2+4.9^2) to get 8.958794562

Now we know the length of the line ab so we can work out x using trigonometry
Since line ab is opposite the angle and x is adjacent (or not the hypotenuse the slope) the tan rule is used which is tan(0)=o/a
So tan(55.8)=8.9587../a
*a. *a
/tan(55.8). /tan(55.8)
a=8.9587../tan(55.8)
a=6.088390497
a=6.09
x=6.09

What is the value of tan D?
Talja [164]
Hey there!

As according to the mathematical acronym SOH CAH TOA (Sin Opposite Hypotenuse, Cos Adjacent Hypotenuse, Tan Opposite Adjacent), the correct answer would be the first choice, \frac{12}{5}.

The reason behind this is because the tangent value of an angle is always the length value opposite of given angle over the value adjacent (or right next to) the given angle.

In this case, the question is asking for Tan D. The side value opposite of angle D would be 12, and the length value that is adjacent to angle D is 5.

Therefore, the value of tan D would be \frac{12}{5}.

Hope this helps and I hope you have a marvelous day! :)
