Drug use refers to the utilisation of some kind of medication. it can also refer to narcotics which mostly originated as medical drugs but where discovered to give an erousing effect on the people who digested or other methods of taking it up in the body.

furthermore since the body is very complex and tries to stay in a state of equilibrium it will produce the needed things within the body itself mostly besides from the amino acids you get from eating food. Drugs are given for different reasons sometimes it's because of sickness and other times because the body lack to produce enough of a given material however when the body is introduced to drug it also stop prioritising the production of the material due to the new source. the body tend to take the easiest and most energy efficient path to sustain itself. therefore can the over use of drug have serious side effect not only in respect to the individual drug but also on the processes which previous occurred in the body.. hope this helps

It depends on what type of "drug" you are being asked about. Drug use refers to one taking/introducing a substance(s) into his or her body; causing a physiological response. There are several types of drugs and ways in which people "use" them.

Then there are the illegal Drugs/Substances people use and abuse: examples; Heroine, LSD, Meth, Cocaine, MDMA, Ecstasy, etc. Each can be 'used' in various ways, but a majority of them are smoked, injected, snorted, and swallowed. These drugs are considered Schedule 1 Drugs, meaning they are highly addictive, and NEVER prescribed or used as a means of "medical treatment".
