Most religions believe that they are the only correct religion, and anyone who follows a different religion is going to get punished for not following the true god. Judaism (the religions Jews follow) is the oldest monotheistic religion (meaning believing in one god), therefore many monotheistic religions take some form of inspiration from Judaism. Christians and Jews both believe in the bible's old testament, and share the same idea that there is some form of God's child that will save humanity. Since they are both similar, there are arguments as to who is correct.
