Which of these life functions is NOT performed by mollusks?
Simora [160]

Answer:

C) perspiration

Explanation:

Living organisms are characterized by certain processes they undergo. These processes makes them defined as living. Mollusks are a group of invertebrate animals that are often protected by hard shells. They undergo characteristics of living things like respiration (gaseous exchange), excretion (pass out waste substances) and even the circulation of fluid within their body system but they do not perspire.

In other words, animals of the mollusk group do not sweat or exude water from their skin because they do not possess sweat glands considering the fact that they are cold-blooded animals and externally regulate their temperature.

What is Cell Cycle ???
lidiya [134]

The cell cycle refers to the different events that occur in a cell as it grows and then divides.

  • The cell cycle can be divided into an interphase and the mitotic (M) phase.

  • The interphase can in turn be divided into a Growth 1 (G1) phase, the synthesis (S) phase and Growth 2 (G2) phase.

  • The replication of the genetic material (DNA) occurs in the S phase.

  • The M phase divides into different phases, i.e., prophase, metaphase, anaphase telophase and cytokinesis.

In conclusion, the cell cycle refers to the different events that occur in a cell as it grows and then divides.
