Answer:

Explanation:

My Response: Advertisements for healthy food have a set target for teenagers because they know they are the real ones who need to eat right. They know these teens are on their phone and knowing this gives corporations the opportunity to market their products. These advertisements are very effective depending on if it gives the teenager the right nutrition, but also flavor so they enjoy it and keep buying the product. The advertisements are sometimes not ethical. Some foods can be advertised very wickedly making teens want junk food because they see it on the TV screen. It givesteenagers temptations. However, some advertisements advertise healthy foods to teenagers to encourage them to eat food

A. the absence of people suggests that something is very wrong with society.

All of the options are true statements. To answer this question it is important to look at what the question is asking. The key words in the question are impact and setting. Option B talks about the setting when it describes the weeds in the pavement, but this does not really have any profound impact on the story. Option C tells us about the temperature of the setting but it doesn't have any overall impact. Option D is more about characterization than it is about setting. Option A is the only one that has an overall impact on the setting. It introduces the society as dystopian.

Wittaler [7]

Answer:

Willing to do anything to leave the orphanage.

Explanation:

Richard Wright's memoir "Black Boy" details his upbringing from childhood through the events like his father's absence in the family and also his infidelity. Added to that, the family was experiencing poverty and even his father's dismissive treatment of his own family, his wife and children included.

When he mentions "<em>my hate for my father was not so great and urgent as my hate for the orphan home</em>", we can know for sure that he hated the orphanage extremely. As much as he hated his father for abandoning his family and living openly with another woman, he hated the orphanage more. So, he agreed to go to his father to ask for money so that they can go to his aunt's place in Arkansas. His contempt for the orphanage was such that he was willing to meet the man he hated the most if it means he will be out of the very same place he despises. This excerpt showed how much he was willing to do to leave the orphanage home.
