Answer:

Explanation:

My Response: Advertisements for healthy food have a set target for teenagers because they know they are the real ones who need to eat right. They know these teens are on their phone and knowing this gives corporations the opportunity to market their products. These advertisements are very effective depending on if it gives the teenager the right nutrition, but also flavor so they enjoy it and keep buying the product. The advertisements are sometimes not ethical.Some foods can be advertised very wickedly making teens want junk food because they see it on the TV screen. It givesteenagers temptations. However, some advertisements advertise healthy foods to teenagers to encourage them to eat food

Which sentence from Cristina Garcia’s Dreaming in Cuban is an example of magic realism?
Serga [27]

Answer: Abuela Celia and I write to each other sometimes, but mostly I hear her speaking to me at night just before I fall asleep

Explanation: Magic realism is a literary genre or style of writing associated especially with Latin America that incorporates fantastic or mythical elements into otherwise realistic fiction. It is also sometimes called fabulism, in reference to the conventions of fables, myths, and allegory incorporated within the writing.

Dreaming in Cuban is the first novel written by author Cristina García, and was a finalist for the National Book Award. This novel moves between Cuba and the United States featuring three generations of a single family. The novel focuses particularly on the women; Celia del Pino, her daughters Lourdes and Felicia, and her granddaughter Pilar. The novel is not told in linear fashion but moves between characters, places and times.

The sentence above, which is an example of magic realism, is by Pilar, referring to hearing her grandmother Celia.

Read again stanzas one and two. Suggest a word or phrase of your own that best describe how the two characters feel about each o
Serjik [45]

Answer: Read again stanzas one and two. Suggest a word or phrase of your own that best describe how the two characters feel about each other . In ballad of Birmingham, In the First Stanza, the daughter was asking for permission from her Mother, to go to the march, you could see, she respected her mother, and needed approval to do certain things. In the second stanza, you could see a Cautious woman, protecting her child from the dangers of the world.

Explanation:

In the first stanza;

Mother dear, may I go downtown

Instead of out to play,

And march the streets of Birmingham

In a Freedom March today?”

In the First Stanza, the daughter was asking for permission from her Mother, to go to the march, you could see, she respected her mother, and needed approval to do certain things.

In the second stanza;

No, baby, no, you may not go,

For the dogs are fierce and wild,

And clubs and hoses, guns and jails

Aren’t good for a little child.”

In the second stanza, the mother refuses, because she was trying to protect her daughter from the dangers of her environment.

From the first two stanzas, you could see that the mother loved her daughter and wanted to protect her from the dangers of the world, and you could see that the daughter respected her mum, to ask for permission to go the march.
