Answer:

the growth of suburbs

Explanation:

The postwar era which was around the 1945s to 1950s experienced the increased availability and affordability of cars most in the United States and it facilitated many social changes one of which was "the growth of suburbs."

This is evident in the fact that the postwar era leads to an economic boom in the United States, and there are high employment opportunities in the cities. This lead to city expansion and many workers had to move to nearby cities to live because it was cheaper

However, the availability and affordability of cars made the outward movement easier to occur.

How did the post-World War II world change life and economics in the United States?
Phantasy [73]
One of the greatest changes in the United States was the most of the women had served in the workplace in one way or another during the war, when the men were off fighting. Many did not return to be housekeepers after the war, and some were competing with men returning home. Another change also had to do with the structure of the economy. Almost everyone was involved in the war effort in some way, and we had grown quite efficient. That efficiency was put into mass production of consumer goods on a scale not seen before the war.
