One person who has had a great impact on the world, in my opinion, is Elton John. Elton John is a famous musician who is a major advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. Back when Elton John was still fresh in the musical community, he came out as gay, and this was a risky move, as being a homosexual was not nearly as acceptable as it is today. Not only did Elton John accept his sexuality and let the whole world know he accepts it; he wrote songs about controversial issues, which nobody wanted to talk about. Some of his songs include "We Didn't Start The Fire" and "Rocket Man", which both still come on the radio to this day.
This shows that Jackie Robison are putting aside their differences and becoming one. They both hope to stop racism by showing the world their friendship and showing that differences don't matter. This is why friendship between Jackie Robinson and Pee Wee Reese became a narrative of hope in the fight against racial injustice.
