Vesnalui [34]

The <u>ought self</u> refers to our conscience, or beliefs about what we are obligated to do, while the <u>ideal self </u>refers to our beliefs about what we would like to accomplish and become.

A spiritual expression of a set of qualities that are required to be possessed by social norms or personal responsibilities in the analysis of self-concept.

The ideal self is made up of attributes that you or someone else wants to have. The self is made up of attributes that you or someone else believes you should own. These different selves can compete with each other in different combinations.

Self-concept is how we perceive our actions, abilities, and unique qualities. 1 For example, beliefs such as "I am a good friend" and "I am a kind person" are part of the overall self-concept. Our self-awareness is important because it influences our motivations, attitudes, and behaviors.

Which is most likely to occur when technology advances?
viva [34]

An idiot would tell you that robots would take over the world. I honestly believe we as humans have the ability to make sure we don't go that far.

People, especially most Americans, have a borderline fetish for leisure. If it makes things easy, buy it, buy it, buy it now. Likely, more advancements will be made to make sure people won't have to leave their home via conventional ways to go to work. Basically, we get even more lazy than we already are, all things considered. Not to mention new innovations for war.

Some good can come from this, however. We require an alternative to fossil fuels, so green energy will be a must in the future. Advancements in medicine will thrive, after everyone discovers that there really are cures for almost anything (there's just no money for the doctors in curing the disease, only treating it). A cleaner Earth, a better planet, a better ecosystem.

Example problem for determining nominal strength of a single reinforced concrete beam with two rows of steel?
Kaylis [27]

According to calculations employing specific material strengths (such as yield strength, Fy, or ultimate strength), nominal strength is the ability of a structure or component to resist the effects of loads.

What is nominal capacity of the beam?

  • Using the forces in the beam's segments at equilibrium, the nominal moment capacity of an RC beam is calculated.
  • On the nominal moment capacity under fire, the benefit of circulating cool water and covering concrete is evaluated.

How do you calculate reinforced concrete beams?

The numbers must be multiplied by 1.65 - 0.0003wc but not less than 1.09 for lightweight concrete with equilibrium density (between 1440 and 1840 kg/m3).
